A large eclipse-inspired light sculpture hangs above the audience, surrounded by a 360° soundscape of thunder, wind and ambient techno. The performers embody the storm through choreography, with their movements directly influencing the light installation and soundscape.
Inspired by the intensity and escapism of the dance floor, Eye of the Storm explores collective energy, anonymity, emotional release and the contrast between chaos and stillness.
Eye of the Storm is an homage to the intensity, chaos and afterglow of the dance floor. It explores moments of collective escapism, where anonymity can create emotional release, fleeting intimacy and, at the same time, loneliness and deindividuation.
